This is the Fifth Week after the Epiphany in the Church Calendar.

Our general order comes from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office and Scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. We’ll sing None But Jesus by Brooke Ligertwood throughout today’s time of prayer. We’ll read Psalm 138 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is Luke 5:1-11 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

  1. This was the start of my journey into Morning Prayer. I sent in a prayer request addressing the chronic pain in my feet. Ben prayed so earnestly for my need.
I felt heard and cared for. I’ve been following his podcasts ever since.
