Alive in Front of Me
Ben Ward, 2023

I don’t know why I doubt
But sometimes I do
I can come off highest highs
But then feel like I am losing
The thing that held me close to You
I’m needing something fresh and something new
You, I need You, Jesus
I need You to be
Somehow alive in front of me

Here You are
Before me now
And here I am
At Your feet I bow
Face to face
God to man
Holy here
With peace I don’t understand

Wednesday in Easter Week, Rite Two – O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

My heart’s burning
Ben Ward, 2023

My heart’s burning
As You’re turning towards me
My soul’s yearning
With the hope of running free
You’re working wonders
In the midst of it all
When it seems You’re not
moving and I’ll fall
You catch me when I fall
My heart’s burning
Returning to You
Jesus
