Celebrating Ascension Day in the Church Calendar. 

Our general order comes from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office and Scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. We’ll sing the song “Witnesses” by me (2017) with verses from “God of Grace and God of Glory” by Harry Emerson Fosdick (1930) and offer a Prayer of Confession. We’ll read Psalm 47 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Scripture Lesson is Acts 1:1-11 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

Our general order comes from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office and Scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. We’ll sing the song “Knowing You” by Graham Kendrick. We’ll read Psalm 148 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is John 13:31-35 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
