Collect of the Day Good Friday, Rite Two Almighty God, we pray you graciously to behold this your family, for whom our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed, and given into the hands of sinners, and to suffer death upon the cross; who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

It’s Good Friday in the Church Calendar. April 7, 2023.

This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday.
Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing the African-American spiritual “Were You There?” We’ll read Psalm 22:1-11 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is John 19:16-24 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
