It’s Thursday of Ordinary Time, Proper 14 in the Church Calendar. August 17, 2023.
Praying today for refugees and migrants at the US Southern border.
Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” by Austin Davis, Chandler Moore, and Cody Carnes and we’ll include a prayer of confession. We’ll read Psalm 105:1-22 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Scripture lesson is Acts 21:27-36 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
