Celebrating Saint Matthias the Apostle in the Church Calendar. February 24, 2023.
This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday.

Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “O Come to the Altar” by Chris Brown, Mack Brock, Steven Furtick, and Wade Joye. We’ll read Psalm 15 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is John 15:1, 6-16 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

Collect of the Day – Saint Matthias, Rite Two – Almighty God, who in the place of Judas chose your faithful servant Matthias to be numbered among the Twelve: Grant that your Church, being delivered from false apostles, may always be guided and governed by faithful and true pastors; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
