It’s the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Church Calendar. May 31, 2023.
This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday.
Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “Holy Spirit” by Bryan and Katie Torwalt with a prayer of confession. We’ll read Psalm 113 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Scripture lesson is Luke 1:39-57 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

The Visitation – Father in heaven, by your grace the virgin mother of your incarnate Son was blessed in bearing him, but still more blessed in keeping your word: Grant us who honor the exaltation of her lowliness to follow the example of her devotion to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

We’ll sing the song “Ninevah” by Brooke Ligertwood and Steven Furtick and offer a Prayer of Confession. We’ll read Psalm 113 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Scripture Lesson is Luke 1:39-57 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
