It’s Maundy Thursday in the Church Calendar. April 6, 2023.
This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday.
Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “Communion” by Brooke Ligertwood, Scott Ligertwood, and Jason Ingram . We’ll read Psalm 116:1, 10-17 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is John 13:1-17, 31b-35 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

Collect of the Day – Maundy Thursday, Rite Two – Almighty Father, whose dear Son, on the night before he suffered, instituted the Sacrament of his Body and Blood: Mercifully grant that we may receive it thankfully in remembrance of Jesus Christ our Lord, who in these holy mysteries gives us a pledge of eternal life; and who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
