Collect of the Day
Proper 12, Rite Two
O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

  1. What a beautifully composed morning prayer! Its like a gentle nudge from a very old, very wise friend. The sheer earnestness of asking for mercy to navigate the temporal stuff without losing the eternal is both touching and slightly hilarious – like trying to pack the universe into a lunchbox. The tag morning prayer is spot on, even if my morning involves mostly wrestling with the coffee machine. And isnt it nice to see the usual suspects – Facebook, X, Email – ready for action? Highly recommend it for when you need a dose of the Book of Common Prayers gentle wisdom, or just want to ensure your day isnt *too* disastrous. Plus, who doesnt love a good cross-post opportunity?act 2 ai video
