It’s the First Thursday After the Epiphany in the Church Calendar.

This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday.

Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “Breathe” by Marie Barnett. We’ll read Psalm 18:1-20 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Gospel reading is Mark 2:1-12 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.

First Sunday after the Epiphany: The Baptism of Our Lord, Rite Two
Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
